(GSM Insider) - Nokia Ready To Roll Out Windows Phone 7.8 Updates For Older Nokia Lumias But Green Light Is Needed From Microsoft
It has been a long waiting for older Nokia Lumia device users as the Windows Phone 7.8 updates are yet to roll out. Something even worst is the new batch of Nokia Lumia 900, Nokia Lumia 610 and Nokia Lumia 510 all shipped with WP7.8 preloaded, GSM Insider reported.
According to mobile gaming website, Nokia stated that the Windows Phone 7.8 updates for many older devices are ready for release. But the Microsoft is yet to approve them. This is why the waiting is so long.
"With Windows Phone 7.8 beginning to ship pre-loaded on Nokia Lumia smartphones, we will naturally be deploying the software to our factories for product rollout. At present we have no more information we can give about wider availability of the update for phones running Windows Phone 7.5."- Nokia
Perhaps Microsoft is too busy for its Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 system. But, the WP7.8 updates are very important for older Nokia Lumia users. Please approve those updates faster, Microsoft.
