(GSM Insider) - RIM and InterDigital Reached Agreement, Brings LTE Technology To BlackBerry 10 Devices.

Recently, Research in Motion (RIM) successfully reached agreement with wireless company InterDigital on the LTE patents. The LTE patents are important for the BlackBerry 10 devices coming to market.


According to the agreement between both parties, InterDigital allowed RIM to use its 4G-LTE and LTE-Advance technology. This agreement is definitely related to the upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices.

With this agreement, RIM will not involve in the patents infringement lawsuit with InterDigital. At the same time, this assures that upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices coming with 4G LTE connectivity. 

Earlier last month, RIM confirmed that it will launch its first BlackBerry 10 device with 4G LTE in UK ahead of other countries. BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry X10 are among two possible devices coming soon.
