(GSM Insider) - LG Snatched Second Place On The US Smartphone Market From Apple In December 2012.

Two Korean company was dominating the US smartphone market on December last year, 2013. Samsung and LG were ranked top two in the US smartphone market as LG snatched second place from Apple.

In the latest Counterpoint Research report, Samsung was ranked top spot on US smartphone with 33 percent in December 2012. At the same month, LG was ranked second with 13 percent while Apple fell to third spot with 12percent. 

LG successfully rose to second spot thanks to its LG Optimus G that available at AT&T and Sprint. Recently, LG announced that its LG Optimus G hits 1 million units sales record. But the LG Optimus G set for global launch, it will boost the sales LG in near future.
