Do You Know iPhone Can Automatic Shut Down If The Temperature is Too Low or Too High?

(GSM Insider) - Do You Know iPhone Can Automatic Shut Down If The Temperature Is Too Low?

This was a true story that happened in China. A girl captured photo with her iPhone at winter. Suddenly, the iPhone was shut down not long after she took a few photo. What happened actually?

She was afraid whether the iPhone was spoilt, she contacted the Apple care for more information. After the explanation from the customer service assistant, she found out that the iPhone was not spoilt. She discovered another new feature in iPhone.

iPhone has a feature which enable the device to automatic shut down in super low and super high temperature. According to Apple customer service, the ideal temperature for iPhone is between 0℃ to 35℃ where 22℃ is the best. In her situation, the temperature at winter season might be too low for iPhone.

This "automatic shut down" feature in iPhone is to protect the device from damage. But this feature also available on Samsung, Sony, HTC and other devices as well. Perhaps this is another extra feature that never mentioned by the promoter.
