(GSM Insider) - HTC Desire U Officially Announces In Taiwan, It Isn't As Cheap As It Looks.

HTC continues pushing out new devices in its home country, Taiwan. The latest smartphone that unveiled is the HTC Desire U. It is another new member of the HTC Desire family. 


In the past few months, you can hardly see any HTC Desire Series products with high end specs. As the main focus of HTC was shifted to the HTC One series. So it isn't surprising with the low-end specs inside this HTC Desire U. 

HTC Desire U is equipped with a 4-inch display with 800 x 480 resolution, 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, a MicroSD slot, 5-megapixel of camera, Beats Audio Enhancement and 1650mAh battery. HTC Desire U should be running on at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and above.

The NT $7900 ($275) price tag is considered high for a device with 512MB of RAM. You can purchase this device if you are living in Taiwan or heading to Taiwan soon.
