China Unicom Received Pre-Order More Than 100,000 Units of WCDMA iPhone 5 On First Day

(GSM Insider) - Earlier yesterday, China Unicom started the pre-order of iPhone 5 ahead of rival China Telecom. After more than 24 hours, the pre-orders received were more than 100,000 units. Very impressive for iPhone 5 in China.


According to internal news from China Unicom, there are more than thousands of online retailers that able receive the pre-order. Besides that, physical stores also offering pre-order for iPhone 5. In total, more than 10,000 stores that offering the WCDMA iPhone 5. Earlier, both WCDMA and CDMA2000 iPhone 5 received the approval from Chinese authority. 

China Unicom is yet to offer the unlocked version of iPhone 5. If you interested to get the iPhone 5, you need to commit yourself to China Unicom with plans and packages available.   If you want an unlocked iPhone 5, we suggest you to purchase it from Hong Kong. But make sure it is compatible with the network in China.
