(GSM Insider) - HTC HD2 is an old old smartphone as neither it runs on Android or Windows Phone. The original operating system is Windows Mobile 6.5. Still remember how long since the Windows Mobile distinguished from our eyes?
Windows Mobile is the operating system from Microsoft that appeared before the Windows Phone. The introduction of Windows Phone allowed Microsoft gave up on WM. However, folks at DFT successfully ported the Windows Phone 8 into HTC HD2.
Remember, it is the latest Windows Phone 8, not the Windows Phone 7. Surprisingly, the Windows Phone 8 able to run on the device. However, the folks at DFT did not demo the smartphone on the video. So we are not sure how smooth the device.
Since HTC HD2 able to run on Windows Phone 8, you might expect more older Windows Mobile devices ported to Windows Phone 7 as well.
