Microsoft CEO: Android is Uncontrolled While iOS Has Too Much Restrictions

(GSM Insider) - Earlier, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer interviewed by LinkedIn Founder Reid Hoffman, and he stated his view on the current ecosystem of mobile operating system.



During the interviews, Steve Ballmer labelled Android is wild and uncontrolled. This is because Android can easily attacked by malware or fake apps with virus. The development of Android was too fast and led to flood of apps at the Play Store. 

The Microsoft CEO further stated that Apple's iOS was far more expensive and too much restrictions. The restrictions due to the closed source of the iOS. He even stated that the iPhone pricing was too high and sometimes can be as high as USD $1000 at global market. 

At the end, Steve Ballmer voiced out that Windows Phone is the balance operating system that standing between both Android and iOS.
