(GSM Insider) - Microsoft just announced that its sales of Windows 8 hits 40 millions. In a blog post, Microsoft posted "Windows 8 - 40 million licenses sold".
According to Microsoft, the upgrades of Windows 8 outpacing the previous Windows 7. This is because the Windows 8 works greatly on Windows 7 PC. So you no need to change PC to get the Windows 8.
“The journey is just beginning, but I am pleased to announce today that we have sold 40 million Windows 8 licenses so far.” - Microsoft blog post.
This numbers were posted by Microsoft so it is official rather than guessing on the numbers. At least 40 million license of Windows 8 sold up-to-date and increasing.
