Alleged Sony Brand Windows Phone 8 Device Leaks, Known As Xperia W?

(GSM Insider) - At the moment, only Nokia, Samsung, HTC and Huawei are among the manufacturers that introducing Windows Phone 8 devices. According to latest leaked images, Sony is interested to enter the Windows Phone 8 device business as well.



The leaked images showed that Sony brand device that runs on Windows Phone 8 operating system. It is known as the Sony Xperia W. You can clearly see the Sony and Xperia brands in front of the device. 

According to tipster, Sony Xperia W set to come with 4.8 inches of IPS display with 1366 x 768 resolution. It supports second generation of Mobile BRAVIA engine for clearer display resolution. Some of the internal specs are similar with the LG Nexus 4. The processor is Snapdragon S4 pro quad-core, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It supports NFC just like the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820. Battery capacity is 2500mAh.  

At the moment, we can said that this could be just another mock up pictures that pop up. First of all, all Windows Phone 8 devices currently on dual-core processor only and the RAM is at 1GB. Secondly, the display 4.8 inches might be too huge for the current Windows Phone 8 device. Furthermore, we are not sure whether Sony is going to use the Xperia for its Windows Phone 8 device.
