The speed of Optimus G is as fast as the lightning due to the monster speed of Snapdragon S4 PRO APQ8064 quad-core processor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 runs on Exynos 4412 quad-core processor which is similar with Galaxy S3.

Verdict

Both are under the different category as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is the phablet while the LG Optimus G is the smartphone. From overall performance, the LG Optimus G are powerful than the Galaxy Note 2. The processor of Optimus G is very powerful compare to the Exynos 4412 of Galaxy Note 2 (You can read the benchmark of Snapdragon S4 PRO APQ8064 here). Furthermore, the camera is 13MP compare to 8MP of Galaxy Note 2. 

The display of Optimus G is using the in-cell display which is expected to use on iPhone 5. However, the Optimus G is running on the Android 4.0 ICS which is older version of the Jelly Bean of Galaxy Note 2. It is hard to understand why LG Mobile not equipped their flagship with latest Android version. The battery life of Galaxy Note 2 also longer than Optimus G.
