Sony Xperia Acro S, Xperia Tipo Dual and Xperia Advance Coming Soon To The US



(GSM Insider) - As we spotted that Sony Mobile's US site listed the Sony Xperia Acro S, Xperia Tipo Dual and Xperia Advance coming soon. So those in the United States and get their hands on these three smartphones soon.

The Acro S is the high-end device here, featuring Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.3 inch LED-backlit HD display, HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Sony Music Unlimited, PlayStation Certification, xLOUD entertainment, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 12MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, 1.3MP front-facing camera, MicroSD card support, and an IP57 certified case (dust and water resistant). The handset measures 126 x 66 x 11.9 mm, weighs 147 grams, and comes with a 1,910 mAh battery.

The Xperia Tipo Dual runs Android 4.0 ICS, too. It is a dual SIM phone, and it’s surprising that Sony will bring it to the US. It features a 3.2 inch HVGA screen, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, 800Mhz processor, 512MB of RAM, 2.9GB of internal memory, a 3.2MP rear camera, MicroSD card support, and a 1,500 mAh battery.

The Xperia Advance is IP67-certified, and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradeable to ICS later this year). It offers a 3.5 inch HVGA display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, DLNA, GPS, 1GHz dual-core NovaThor U8500 processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p video recording. The Advance is already available in Europe (for about $350), where it’s known as Sony Xperia Go.
