Samsung Galaxy S Duos S7562 Coming Soon To China, Gets Approval From Government

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos (S7562) that we first heard about a few days ago has already received its certification for sale on the Chinese market. That means that its launch can’t be that far away. Alongside the certification, some new pictures showing the device have been made available.

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos has a design that is obviously inspired by the Galaxy S III. That said, it’s smaller and packs a lot lower-spec hardware than the model it’s inspired by. The Galaxy S Duos has a 4-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 MP camera, and it runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It’s been rumored to have a single-core 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and microSD support as well, but the certification docs don’t confirm those specs. Of course, the main feature here will undoubtedly be the dual-SIM support.

Last we heard anything about a release date, it was going to be on the market before the end of September in India. If it sticks to its past behavior, Samsung will launch this in emerging markets first, where the demand for dual-SIM devices is extremely big.
