According to Kantar Worldpanel Com Tech report, Samsung still leads the smartphone market in the United Kingdom while Apple not far in second place.
This is totally opposite with the case in the United States. In the US, Apple dominates the market with 51% while Android isn't far behind with 42.2%.
Finnish manufacturer Nokia enjoys a certain degree of recovery as it owns about 6.2% of UK smartphone market.
Canadian company Research in Motion continues to slump in the UK smartphone. But the BlackBerry 9320 enjoys impressive sales during the holiday season of last year. Two third of BlackBerry 9320 were purchased as a gift.
In the UK mobile phone market, 82% of devices are smartphones.
