Apple Unveils New iPod Nano, 28% Thinner With Multitouch

(GSM Insider) - After iPhone 5, Apple announced the new iPod Nano. This is the 7th-generation of iPod Nano. This generation of iPod Nano is different from the past as Apple overhaul the iPod series.

Here are some key specifications of the 7th-gen iPod Nano:

  • 2.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display
  • 240-by-432-pixel resolution at 202 pixels per inch

Weight and Dimension: 


Height: 3.01 inches (76.5 mm)
Width: 1.56 inches (39.6 mm)
Depth: 0.21 inch (5.4 mm)
Weight: 1.1 ounces (31 grams)

Capacity: 16GB

Battery Life: 





  • Music playback time: Up to 30 hours when fully charged
  • Video playback time: Up to 3.5 hours when fully charged



  • This new iPod Nano is half as thin as its predecessor. The iPod Nano is switching back to the tall and thin design. The screen size stands at 2.5 inch with a Home button for easy usage. 

    Other features include FM tuner with live pausing. The battery life of iPod Nano is 30 hours when fully charged for music playing and 3.5 hours for video playing. It available in seven colours. The new Nano will cost at least $149 for 16GB, and ship on OCTOBER. All iPods will now have a (PRODUCT) RED color to choose from, from which a portion of money will go to fight AIDS in Africa.     Source From Japan Says New iPod Nano Comes With WiFi, iPad Mini Is The Official Name



    (GSM Insider) - Seems like there are no slowing down steps from Apple under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook. Perhaps the late Steve Jobs is the one who laid down the strong foundation for Apple to continue to shine. Anywhere, there are more iDevices coming soon from Apple and Tim Cook going to reveal them.

    From the source of Japan, it suggested that the next generation of iPod Nano to come with the WiFi connectivity. Apple interested to add extra features to the new iPod Nano so that it will able to continue dominance.

    Next iPod nano may equip Wi-Fi antenna on side of that case, and support iTunes Music Cloud in order Apple to provide a iconic product to promote the largest Music Store in the world. - Japanese source. 

    With the case of iPad Mini leaked days ago. More information surfaced on this smaller version of iPad tablet. Although there are no information on the official name of smaller iPad. But source from Japan stated that it will call as the iPad Mini.


    According to source, the name of Apple’s new product, which are expected to have 7’85’ and called as "iPad mini". 

    This source expects that “iPad” logo will be printed on back of case same as “iPod” is printed on iPod nano and iPod touch, and it means one new product will be added on iPad’s product brand genre.

    Latest iOS 6 BETA Reveals All Apple iDevice Could Switch To 9-Pin Dock Connector



    (GSM Insider) - Recent rumours reported that new iPhone 5 going to come with a smaller dock connector. However, there are no confirmation about the size of the dock connector. Some sources said that the dock connector would come with 19-pin connector, while there are rumours that it would be 8-pin connector. As everything still remain unclear. 

    As according to the evidence found in the latest iOS 6 BETA version - the next generation would featured a 9-pin dock connector. From the code that appeared in the iOS 6 BETA on image above, we can clearly see the iOS 6 would probably available in 9-pin interface. 

    At this time, still no official news from Apple about the next gen smartphone. So we need to wait till September 12 for the Apple event. Apple expect to announce iPad Mini and New iPhone 5. Stay tuned! [Source]
