The popularity of the XiaoMi Phone 2 in China can compare with the popularity of LG Nexus 4 in the United States. 

Yesterday, XiaoMi Phone 2 on sale again. This time was 100,000 units on sale. It used only 2 mins and 17 seconds sold out. While the 100,000 units of XiaoMi M1S used only 14 mins and 55 seconds sold out.

XiaoMi also stated that both XiaoMi Phones going to on sale every Friday on 12pm, China time. If you missed out this time, dont be sad. Try again on coming Friday.

XiaoMi Phone 2 is one of the hottest gadget in the Chinese market at moment. It has been sold out for many times since it was on sale in the market. Perhaps due to the high population in China is the main reason and this is from local company as well.

With the price of around $320 (RMB $1999), you can get a quad-core smartphone with 720p display. Im sure most of the Android fans interested as well. But only available at China at the moment. So how about the successor of XiaoMi Phone 2?

Rumours from China stated that it is going to call as XiaoMi Phone 3 or XiaoMi Mi3. The possible specs included the Tegra 4 processor with the frequency of 1.8GHz to 2.0GHz. Seems like it will not features any 8-core processor as well. 

The possible display size of XiaoMi Phone 3 is between 4.5 to 5-inch. The display will feature in-cell technology that made by JDI. The resolution should be at least 720p to 1080p Full HD. The XiaoMi Phone 3 able to support the TD-LTE network of China Mobile as well. 

Just about three months since the XiaoMi Phone 2 announced by CEO Lei Jun. So the XiaoMi Phone 3 still far from announcement. One thing for sure is the battle of smartphone next year basically based on 1080p Full HD display rather than the number of cores.

This is not a good news for XiaoMi Mi1 users. XiaoMi executive Da Wei posted at his Weibo stated that the MIUI V5 not available for XiaoMi Mi1. In other words, those using first generation of XiaoMi not getting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. 

The XiaoMi Mi1 also known as the XiaoMi Phone or XiaoMi M1. It is the first ever XiaoMi brand smartphone that released on last year. In this year, XiaoMi released XiaoMi Phone 2 and XiaoMi M1S. XiaoMi Phone 2 is the first smartphone to feature the ever popular Snapdragon S4 pro quad-core processor.

At the moment, that particular XiaoMi executive already removed the post on this issue. There are huge numbers of Mi Fans felt disappointed and angry with this news. 

However, MIUI and XiaoMi yet to make any statement on this issue.

On November 19, 100,000 units of XiaoMi Phone sold out again in less than 3 minutes. You might ask, is XiaoMi Phone 2 so popular in China? Maybe not. 

Earlier today, XiaoMi Phone 2 again sold out. This time is 150,000 units of XiaoMi Phone 2 sold out in less than 2 minutes. Is it possible? 

There are consumers that suspected on the sales of XiaoMi Phone 2 because it sold out even faster than the iPhone 5 in United States. A consumer stated he used three computers to purchase XiaoMi Phone 2, he failed as well. He felt so sad because of this as he posted at Baidu blog. 

There are consumers stated that supposely XiaoMi Phone 2 set to ship in one week and now the shipping date extend to more than one week. He called the XiaoMi helpline but not of them pick up his calls. So disappointed. 

Another consumer sceptical on the sales of XiaoMi Phone 2. He stated that XiaoMi Phone 2 sold out in such short time and seems like no body successfully purchase it. But seems like XiaoMi Phone 2 available at TaoBao. TaoBao is the Amazon-alike retailer in China. 

The original price of XiaoMi Phone 2 is RMB $1999 which is out of stock. But it is available at TaoBao with more expensive price RMB $2799. So whats the situation of XiaoMi Phone 2? Online retailers purchased most of the units or other situation?

From these three devices, the latest is the Meizu MX2 and while XiaoMi Phone 2 already announced a few months back as it was the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Currently, LG Nexus 4, LG Optimus G and Asus Padfone 2 powered by this processor as well. These three smartphones powered by three different processors Meizu MX2 powered by its own Meizu MX5S quad-core processor and Huawei Honor 2 powered by its own K3V2 quad-core. 

The Huawei Honor 2 has the largest display among all three devices with 4.5-inch followed by Meizu MX2 with 4.4-inch and XiaoMi Mi2 with 4.3-inch. The Meizu MX2 has the higher resolution which is HD+ and 347ppi. Both three devices have 2GB of RAM on board.

The Huawei Honor 2 comes with 8GB internal memory while the XiaoMi Mi2 comes with 16GB and 32GB and the Meizu MX2 comes with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Huawei Honor 2 supports microSD expansion but not the case of other two. 

Huawei Honor 2 has the oldest Android version which is only 4.0 ICS while the Meizu MX2 has Flyme 2.0 which is based on 4.1 Jelly Bean and XiaoMi Mi2 with MIUI V4 that based on Jelly Bean as well.

All three devices has the 8-megapixels rear camera that support 1080p video recording.GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi are available on all three devices. All three devices also do not support 4G LTE network and no NFC available.

Huawei Honor 2 has the largest battery capacity and the Meizu MX2 has the lowest battery capacity.

On October 30, 2012, XiaoMi sold out 50,000 units of XiaoMi Phone 2 in less than 3 minutes on sales. This was amazing numbers. So now XiaoMi opened its second round of sales, the XiaoMi Phone 2 sold out as well.

According to official website, XiaoMi Phone 2 sold out in just 2 minutes and 29 seconds. What a record! The XiaoMi M1S also sold out in 12 minutes and 2 seconds. There were 300,000 units of XiaoMi M1S and 100,000 units of XiaoMi Phone 2 on sales this time. But seems like the demand was too large.

The XiaoMi M1S is the upgraded version of XiaoMi M1. It packed with Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 8 mega-pixels of camera, 4 inch of display, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as well.

Since both were sold out in such short period. You can see how popular these two devices in China. The XiaoMi Phone 2 selling at RMB $1999 and the XiaoMi M1S selling at RMB $1599.
