Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is not as popular as the Samsung Galaxy S3 but it is losing ground in the phablet market. This 5.5-inch display phablet is remains as the King of Phablet.

According to latest numbers from Samsung, this phablet recorded 1 million units sales in South Korea alone. This showed that the 5.5-inch phablet is popular in its home country as well as other parts of the world.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 recorded 3 million units of sales in just after 30 days of launched. But the numbers are on the rising for sure. Recently, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Note 2 LTE received Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update as well.

There are rumours stated that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 set to come with more choices of colours soon. It remains unknown whether the Korean company will release six colours in total like Samsung Galaxy S3.

In the latest ads found in South Korea, LG demonstrated a LG Optimus G sliced an Apple into the two parts. The apple appeared at the poster was the fruit that we used to eat everyday. But it is definitely targeting another "Apple" (You knew it, right?)

If you think this is enough? No. LG stated that the smartphone from "Apple" lacks of VoLTE and and quad-core processor. Clearly showed that VoLTE and quad-core processor are the top features from LG Optimus G. You cannot found any of these two features at the iPhone 5.

Since this ads was found in the home country of LG, South Korea, it is not sure whether Apple going to hit back with something similar. Perhaps it is not a good way to provoke enemy at its home. Isn't it?

Ouch! Another device going to join the 1080p club soon, it is the LG Optimus G2. Two weeks ago, there were rumours pop-up stated that LG Optimus G2 coming with 5.0-inch 1080p Full HD Display. But things changed a little bit this time. 

Latest report from Korea suggested that the LG Optimus G2 set to come with 5.5-inch of display. But the resolution of display remains the same at 1080p Full HD. In other words, the LG Optimus G2 coming with display of 440ppi. 

The Korean report added that LG Optimus G2 set to arrive sometimes on H1 2013 which is around month of June next year. 

The LG smartphones are not too bad after all. Just the marketing strategies of LG Mobile are not suitable for the current fast changing environment. There are months since the announcement of LG Optimus G, but it is yet to release to many regions. The same goes to the LG Optimus 4X HD as it took around half year for it to on sale and available globally. LG needs a better strategy for its smartphones!

LG Officially Unveils Optimus VU 2, Set To Battle With Galaxy Note 2

(GSM Insider) - The battle of domination in phablet market continues as Samsung and LG revealed their second generation phablets. Samsung kicks off its Galaxy Note 2 World Tour yesterday and LG unveiled its own Optimus VU 2.

The LG Optimus VU 2 comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. It is kinda disappointed as it is not equip with the Snapdragon S4 pro quad-core. It is hard to compete with Galaxy Note 2 as it equips with a quad-core processor. The RAM memory of LG Optimus VU 2 is 2GB with is similar with the Galaxy Note. However, LG does not reveal the Android version. We expect it to run on either 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or 4.1 Jelly Bean. 

The features include Q Memo, LG Notebook, One Key, Q translator and a new stylus. The battery capacity is 2150mAh. It supports microSD expansion. The Optimus VU 2 comes with an integrated DMB digital TV reception. There are no price and release date yet on LG Optimus VU 2 yet.  [LG Korea]
