Alleged Meizu MX2 Handset Gets Hands On, Ultra Thin Bezel and Full Toucscreen

(GSM Insider) - With three days to go before the announcement of Meizu MX2, there were leaked photos pop up almost once a day. You might feeling annoying with it, so we tried our best to low down the rate on this particular Meizu MX2. 

This image was spotted at Weibo. It showed us the ultra thin bezel of Meizu MX2. It is said that the bezel only 2.2mm thin (VERY VERY THIN). Perhaps the thinnest bezel for a smartphone ever.

Two More Images of Meizu MX2 Leaked

(GSM Insider) - Here are the leaks again on the Meizu MX2. There are more than two separate leaks on Meizu MX2 every week. It is understandable that the popularity of Meizu MX2 so high in China. 

In these two images, the Meizu MX2 looks blurry after all. First of all, we are not sure the size of Meizu MX2. There are rumours stated that it will arrive with either 4.4 inch or 4.7 inch of display. 

The first image looks blur and hardly can predict the display size. There is a home button as well. But in second image, there is no home button spotted after all. It looks mysterious. 

There are still debates on whether the Meizu MX2 come with full touchscreen display or with physical home button. 

Rumours said that Meizu MX2 might come with Exynos 5250 or Exynos 4412 processor. The camera will be 13 mega-pixels shooter.

RUMOUR: Meizu MX2 To Sell At USD $480, Starts from 1st of January 2013

(GSM Insider) - We knew that Meizu MX2 event is on November 27 and the location is Water Cube. Water Cube is one of the arena of Beijing Olympics. Seems like Meizu Mobile is going for something big now. With a huge announcement ahead, whats under the belt of Meizu MX2?

According to source from China, the second generation Meizu MX will set at the price of RMB $2999 or USD $480. This is just a suggestion price. I think that the price will even cheaper and wont exceed the RMB $2999 mark.

There will be two versions available - 16GB and 32GB. The price of Meizu MX2 16GB will be around RMB $2599 and Meizu MX2 32GB will be around RMB $2999. 

The Meizu MX2 is said to come with a 4.4 inch display 1280 x 800 pixels HD resolution. The processor is the Exynos 4412 quad-core that similar with the one feature in Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The RAM is 2GB large and the camera will have a 8 mega-pixels shooter. The Android version is 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Damn! I just wonder how those Chinese invented such smartphone. The bezel is said to be around 2.2mm. How thin is it!

Meizu MX2 Launch Date Confirmed On November 27, 2012

(GSM Insider) - Its official. Few days ago, Meizu stated that there will huge announcement on today 13 November 2012. The announcement was not about any new devices but a launch date for the upcoming Meizu smartphone.

The launch date for the second generation Meizu smartphone is set on November 27, 2012. The location of the Meizu MX2 event is at Water Cube, China. Water Cube was the location of Beijing Olympics. 

Meizu posted a image on its Weibo that showed "MX 1127". From this imaged, it hints that it will be the arrival of Meizu MX2.

Meizu Event Falls on November 13, It Could Be The Arrival of Meizu MX2

(GSM Insider) - Oh yes. Another date for new device announced - November 13, 2012. On this date, Meizu is going to reveal something new in China. There are huge possibilities that the device is the much rumoured Meizu MX2.

It has been a year since the last announcement of Meizu MX. It is the perfect time for the Meizu to unveil its new flagship when heading to year end holidays season. 

Earlier today, Meizu posted an image on its Weibo and stated the date for the event. The image stated that "November 13, are you ready?". Ok. We from the GSM Insider are ready for it for sure. How about you?

In the past few months, we had reporting the news on the Meizu MX2. No doubt about the existence of this device. A mysterious device with the name of Meizu M040 that with Jelly Bean on board spotted at benchmark as early as September. 

Soon, there were two images that leaked as well. It was said that the device is the Meizu MX2 that everybody looking forward. 

Two weeks before, an alleged front panel of Meizu MX2 leaked. It showed us the ultra thin bezel that made from IGZO display. 

Three days ago, the screenshot of Meizu MX2 posted by Meizu's JJ Wong at the forum. It revealed that Meizu MX2 coming with at least 720p resolution. 

From these information that we accumulate, we can predicted that the Meizu MX2 comes with a quad-core processor, at least 1GB of RAM and at least 4.5 inches of display with the resolution at 720p or above. It is possible that the display of Meizu MX2 made from IGZO display. 

Meizu M8 was one of the three devices along with Nokia N8 and BlackBerry Torch that mentioned by Apple after the case against Samsung. Apple mentioned that these three devices were not copied from them and everybody should learnt from them instead.

Screenshot of Meizu MX2 Revealed It Has 720p Resolution And Revamped Flyme 2.0

(GSM Insider) - It has been one year since the first Meizu MX introduce to the market. It is the perfect time for Meizu to introduce its second Meizu MX as the calender heading to holiday season. With the introduction of so many devices in the market, it is for sure that Meizu wants to catch up with other competitors.

J. Wong is the person behind the development of Meizu. To reaffirm that he remains committed to Meizu, he posted an image screenshot which has the 1280 x 800 resolution. There are high percentages that it is the screenshot of the Meizu MX2. 

From the screenshot, we also developed that there will be some modifications for the Flyme 2.0 which is based on Android. The physical home button will be removed and replaced by touchscreen button that is similar with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Therefore, the upcoming Meizu MX2 might feature full touchscreen display. 

At least the screenshot posted by J. Wong revealed some important information for the upcoming Meizu MX. There are still no information yet on the hardware.

All these three devices are with different processors - Huawei Honor 2 Quad-Core with 1.4GHz K3V2, XiaoMi Phone 2 with 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 pro and Meizu MX 4-Core with 1.4GHz Exynos 4412. From the leaked images, the Meizu MX2 has a ultra thin bezel as it can competes with the Oppo Find 5. Dont be surprise with the display as rumours stated that it is a IGZO display from Sharp. IGZO display has very low power consumption as it able to provide the device with longer battery life. The resolution might be 1080p or even higher resolution. 

The alleged front panel also reveals that Meizu MX2 set to come with front camera and light sensor. Meizu MX2 set to run on at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. There is a home button as well on the front panel. We expect more rumours and leaks to come in the coming weeks on this Meizu MX2.

(GSM Insider) - Meizu MX 4-Core M032 running on Flyme 1.0 which is based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, there is a Meizu MX 4-Core M032 running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean spotted at AnTuTu Benchmark result.

According to AnTuTu Benchmark result, it shows that Meizu M032 running on a 1.2GHz processor. This is different from the Meizu MX 4-Core M032 which is running on a 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 quad-core processor. Meizu might using a single core to test the performance 4.1 Jelly Bean on the Meizu M032. 

It is believes that everything still on the testing stage at the moment before the 4.1 Jelly Bean update release to Meizu MX 4-Core M032. There are no information on date and time when this update is going to available on this quad-core smartphone.  [Leiphone]

Two of the images at above are the leaked images of Meizu MX 2. The sources claimed that device is the Meizu MX 2. And the last two images are the designs of Meizu MX 2 registered patents by Meizu in China.

There are similarities between the leaked handset and the design images. Meizu MX 2 does not have the physical home button and this could be the full touchscreen smartphone. We also can see that both are almost bezeless or should said frameless. There are LED flash light at bottom of the camera lens. 

According to tipster, Meizu MX 2 comes with 4.4 inches display. While the Meizu confirmed that it comes with 16:10 ration which is far more better than the retina display of iPhone 5. And it arriving on Q1 2013 or earlier. It is interesting to see whether it equips with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or 4.1 Jelly Bean. We hope that Meizu launched it by end of 2012.  [Source]

Meizu MX2 Benchmarks Leaked, Comes With Android 4.0 Android 1GHz CPU

(GSM Insider) - J.Wong already disappear for sometimes, perhaps Meizu working on development of new devices. Someone in the Meizu forum posted the latest benchmarks of Meizu smartphone with the model number of M040. 

Above are the images leaked from GLBenchmark. From the GLBenchmark, we see the Meizu M040 comes with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. The screen size is 1280 x 800 which is larger than the current Meizu MX. 

According to GLBenchmark, the minimum CPU frequency of Meizu M040 is 200MHz and maximum frequency is 1GHz. MX2 is the codename of Meizu M040. We can expect something new coming from Meizu soon.  [Source]

Benchmark Results Show Sony Xperia T and Xperia V Blow Galaxy S3 and HTC One X Away

(GSM Insider) - You might think that Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X are two of the fastest Android smartphone at the moment since they are equipped with quad-core processors. You might think the Sony Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V are just new smartphones from Sony but unable to compete to other. You are wrong. They are not such lousy smartphones anymore. Above are the benchmark results comparison of Sony Xperia T vs Xperia TX vs Xperia V vs Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Meizu MX 4-Core vs HTC One X vs LG Optimus 4X HD vs Motorola Atrix HD. 

The first benchmark result, it is the Benchmark Pi result which is lower points is the better. As you can see the points of Sony Xperia T, Xperia V and Xperia TX are lower than those Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X, Meizu MX 4-Core, LG Optimus 4X HD and Motorola Atrix HD. Sounds impressive!

The second benchmark result of NenaMark 2 where the higher the points, the better the device. You can see that the Xperia T and Xperia TX score 60 points while the Xperia V scores 58.8 points that same with Samsung Galaxy S3. While the HTC One X only scores 47.5 points.

The third benchmark result is the Quadrant benchmark. Surprisingly, Sony Xperia V scores the highest with 6047 points, second is the Xperia TX and third is the Xperia T. The performance of Xperia V no longer in doubt as it wins over the Samsung Galaxy S3 and other quad-core devices.
