HTC Droid DNA vs LG Nexus 4 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 - Display Resolution Comparison

This image showed the Gmail icon from each of the device. Since these three devices using different display material with different resolution. The differences showed out instantly. 

The Gmail icon of HTC Droid DNA showed us the original white and red colour of the logo. The Gmail icon on LG Nexus 4 looks a bit more red while the Gmail icon on Samsung Galaxy S3 looks greener. 

The HTC Droid DNA has the highest resolution of 1920 x 1080 with 440ppi. The second is the LG Nexus 4 with 1280 x 768 pixels and 320ppi. Samsung Galaxy S3 has the lowest resolution among all three with only 1280 x 760 pixels and 306ppi. 

No doubt that the HTC Droid DNA packs with the best display among all three. Im sure you are looking forward to next year when more 1080p smartphones available.

LG Nexus 4 vs HTC Droid DNA - Multiple Benchmarks Comparison

(GSM Insider) - HTC Droid DNA is the first 1080p Full HD smartphone to enter the United States while the LG Nexus 4 is the latest Nexus smartphone from Google. In the past, we already compared the specs of both devices with HTC Droid DNA scores the winner. How about the benchmarks of both devices?

At the AnTuTu Benchmark results, HTC Droid DNA scores 14537 points that are more than 10048 points of LG Nexus 4. Although both with the Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320, HTC Droid DNA scores higher marks than the LG Nexus. 

As for the Quadrant Benchmark results, LG Nexus 4 only scores 4870 points and HTC Droid DNA scores 8142 points. From the benchmark image, you can see the LG Nexus 4 is just a fraction better than the HTC One X. So disappointed with it.

Here are the scores of Smartbench 2012 for LG Nexus 4 and HTC Droid DNA. From the image above, the HTC Droid DNA is definitely scores higher points than the 1080p smartphone for Verizon. Well done HTC!

In the Vellamo Benchmark results, the HTC Droid DNA continues to dominate the LG Nexus 4. LG Nexus 4 scores 954 points for the HTML5 benchmark while the HTC Droid DNA scores 1751 points. For the Vellamo Metal, HTC Droid DNA scores 630 points while the LG Nexus 4 scores 621 points. 

From these benchmark results, we can understand that the HTC Droid DNA is better than the LG Nexus 4 although both with similar specs.

HTC Droid DNA vs HTC J Butterfly - What Are The Differences That You Never Spotted?

(GSM Insider) - Both have different names, both are available in different countries but both are from HTC. One is the HTC J Butterfly in Japan and another is the far American cousin HTC Droid DNA for Verizon Wireless. Since both are cousins, there are similarities between both devices.

Honest enough, HTC J Butterfly and HTC Droid DNA are almost the same in terms of specs. Both are powered by Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, having 2GB of RAM memory, Adreno 320 GPU, 8 mega-pixels of rear camera and 2.1 mega-pixels of front camera.

There might be slightly different in the design for both handset. HTC J Butterfly supports microSD expansion but this is not the case of HTC Droid DNA. It is confirmed that HTC Droid DNA does not support microSD expansion. So you should satisfied with 16GB of internal memory if you decided to purchase it. 

Both HTC Droid DNA and HTC J Butterfly running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and HTC Sense 4+. Both having features like NFC, GPS, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth and 4G LTE compatibility. 

There are slightly different in sizes of both devices. HTC Droid DNA is a bit thicker with 9.7mm compared to HTC J Butterfly with only 9.1mm thick. But the one in Japan is slightly heavier than the one in the United States.

Another cousin with the name of HTC Deluxe is coming soon as well after the press image leaked on yesterday. Seems like HTC going global with its 1080p Full HD smartphone.

Overall, there are many similarities between both LG Nexus 4 and HTC Droid DNA in terms of specs. The processor (Snapdragon S4 Pro), GPU (Adreno 320), RAM memory (2GB), internal memory (16GB) and main camera (8MP) are the same. 

The main different between both smartphones are the displays. LG Nexus 4 with 4.7 inches display with 720p HD resolution while HTC Droid DNA with 5 inches display with 1080p Full HD resolution. The display of HTC Droid DNA has up to 441ppi. 

LG Nexus 4 available in 8GB and 16GB versions while HTC Droid DNA available in one 16GB version. Both devices are not support the microSD expansion. Bad bad news!

Overall, these benchmarks result showed that HTC Droid DNA is a monster from the specs. At the Quadrant Benchmark, HTC Droid DNA managed to get 8305 points ahead of HTC One X and Asus Transformer Prime tablet. The HTC One X scored only about 5000 points only.

At the AnTuTu Benchmark, HTC Droid DNA 14638 points. It is definitely ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, HTC One X+, Samsung Galaxy S3, Asus Transformer Prime and Samsung Galaxy Note. 

For the Vellamo benchmark, HTC Droid DNA scored 1777 points for HTML5 test and 622 points for Metal test.

HTC Droid DNA scores 17600 points at the CF-Bench test. It is ahead of Samsung Galaxy S3 (13080 points) and HTC One X (12797).

At last, HTC Droid DNA scores 59.1 FPS for Nenamark2 and 49.21 for Basemark. 

From these benchmarks, you can clearly see that the HTC Droid DNA is better than its closest rival Samsung Galaxy Note 2. But the HTC Droid DNA only available at Verizon exclusively. We hope that HTC going to release it as HTC J Butterfly elsewhere.
