Motorola Razr Maxx and Razr Maxx HD are popular with their kevlar design at the back of the devices. Somehow, Chinese manufacturer, Gionee able to "copy" the kevlar and adopted it into its new device.

Images above showed the Gionee GN818T which is the first smartphone with kevlar back design from a Chinese manufacturer. So, Gionee is a step ahead of top manufacturers in China that introduces the smartphone with kevlar design.

Gionee GN818T has a 4.65-inch HD display with metal bezel. It has a 1.2GHz MediaTek dual-core processor. The main camera is 8-megapixels while the secondary camera is 1-megapixel. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Gionee GN818T is exclusively for China Mobile as you can see a China Mobile logo at the back of the device. Gionee CBT1805 is the global version of the same device.

At the MWC 2013 that just ended two days ago, Chinese manufacturer Umeox did unveil two new devices at the event: Umeox F501 and Umeox F601. 

Umeox F601 hands-on at MWC 2013

The first is the Umeox F601 phablet. It has 6-inch display with 1080p Full HD resolution and 441ppi. It is powered by 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. Umeox F601 has 13-megapixels rear-facing camera and 3-megapixels front facing camera. Umeox F601 has a 8-mm ultra thin body and it runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. 

The second device is the Umeox F501. It is a phablet with 5-inch display and 1080p Full HD resolution and 441 pixels per inch density. Umeox F501 is powered by 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The rear-facing camera of Umeox F501 is 13-megapixels while secondary camera is 3-megapixels. It has a 2200mAh battery and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. 

No pricing and availabilty of the Umeox F601 and Umeox F501 at the moment. We shall update you soon.

The image above is said to be the Huawei Ascend G710 that is yet to be announced. The leaked information revealed that Huawei Ascend G710 features a 5-inch display but only 720p HD resolution and quad-core processor. 

From the leaked specs, the quad-core processor of Huawei Ascend G710 should be the Hisilicon K3V2. There are limited informations about the Huawei Ascend G710, but GSM Insider predicted that it could feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, at least 1GB of RAM and at least 8-megapixels of camera on board.

(GSM Insider) - Samsung GT-I9500 Galaxy S4 Scores Highest Points At BrowserMark 2 Test.

Samsung GT-I9500 is said to be the Samsung Galaxy S4 international version. And the BrowserMark 2 result revealed that the Samsung GT-I9500 scores highest points among current devices. 

At the BrowserMark 2.0 test, Samsung GT-I9500 scores 2710 points that higher than LG Optimus G, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z. Surprisingly, the LG Optimus G scores 2555 points and higher than HTC One with 2262 points and Sony Xperia Z with 1864 points. Both HTC One and Sony Xperia Z were launched this year but their points lower than the LG Optimus G that was launched last year. 

The BrowserMark 2.0 test reveals that Samsung GT-I9500 features a monster processor. GSM Insider reported that Samsung Galaxy S4 global version is powered by Exynos 5 Octa while U.S. version is powered by Snapdragon 600. 

The launch date of Samsung Galaxy S4 was confirmed on March 14, 2013. You can joined Samsung at Times Square on that day and "Be Ready 4 The Next Galaxy".

ZTE U9810 is said to feature 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, 13-megapixels of rear-facing camera and 1.0-megapixel front camera. GSM Insider leart that the ZTE U9810 is compatible with TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and GSM networks. So the ZTE U9810 is suitable for global roaming. This ZTE U9810 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. 

Earlier, GSM Insider reported that the HTC One for China Mobile doesn't have Ultrapixel camera.

China Mobile announced four new devices with TD-LTE compatibility and one of them is the HTC One TD 101, GSM Insider reported.

The HTC One for China Mobile has a different camera from the HTC One global version, GSM Insider understands. The model number of HTC One for China is HTC TD 101. 

HTC TD 101 features a 4.7-inch FHD display, 2GB of RAM, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2.1-megapixels front-facing camera, Beats Audio, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi and 3.5mm audio jack. The Ultrapixel Camera has been replaced by 8-megapixels camera. 

GSM Insider has learnt that the HTC TD 101 supported five different networks: TD-LTE, FDD LTE, TD-SCMDA, WCDMA and GSM. So this device is compatible with global roaming. 

HTC TD 101 set to on sale in China on July 2013 later this year.

Recently, the benchmark of Tegra 4 has surfaced and revealed that it scored more than 35,000 points at the benchmark tests while HTC One with Snapdragon 600 Series only scored 22,000 points. Looks like the Snapdragon 600 isn't the competitor of Tegra 4. But Qualcomm has an answer for NVIDIA.

Qualcomm Senior VP of product development, Raj Talluri stated that his team is focused on shipping the processors rather than response to rivals' claims. He believes that the Snapdragon 800 able to beat the Tegra 4 easily as it has so many integrated features inside. The Snapdragon 800 has the ability to decode and encode 4K content. 

The ZTE Grand Memo is the first device with Snapdragon 800 inside. But Raj said that there are more than 50 more devices with Snapdragon 800 inside coming soon later this year. He also added that the Snapdragon 200 powered devices should be priced at $100 and below, Snapdragon 400 powered devices should be priced at $100 to $300, Snapdragon 600 powered devices should be priced at $300 to $500 while Snadragon 800 powered devices should be priced at $500 and above. Of course these are only suggested pricing.
