Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet And Smartphone Leak Ahead Of Press Event, Running on Android



(GSM Insider) - After Nokia and Motorola, Amazon set to announce new Kindle product today at press event. There are rumours stated that Amazon set announce Kindle Fire tablet and Kindle phone. Both are running on Android operating system.

According to the first image at above, we can see an Amazon product with the name of AmazonKFTT. This could be the short name of Amazon Kindle Fire tablet. The new Amazon Kindle Fire tablet set to run on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is a disappointment if Amazon Android tablet comes with ARMv7Pro instead of quad-core processor.

Besides Kindle tablet, Amazon set to announce Kindle phone as well. The Kindle phone comes with size between 4 to 5 inch and also running on Android 4.0 ICS.

Amazon Launches Cloud Drive Storage In UK, Prices From £6



(GSM Insider) - The cloud storage seems slow gained the momentum as more companies start to introduce their cloud storage. From the previous, Apple's iCloud, Google Drive, Microsoft's SkyDrive, DropBox and now -- Amazon Cloud Drive.

To compare with the DropBox, Amazon Cloud Drive offers £6 per year for 20GB and up to £320 per year for 1TB. Existing Amazon users get 5GB for free. In comparison, Dropbox offers 2GB for free and sells 100GB for £6.32 ($9.99) per month. Moreover, 100GB of DropBox cost £30 per year. Amazon's Cloud Drive is far more cheaper than the DropBox.

Survey: Nearly One Five Of Android Users Interested To Switch To iPhone


(GSM Insider) - Android maybe the most popular mobile platform in the world, but not every Android users remain loyal to the operating system. According to Barron's report, there are Android users that interested to purchase iPhone as their next device.

This survey was conducted by Robert W. Baird analyst William Power. Here are some of the interesting stats: 

Survey from Android users:

- 48% of Android smartphone users plan on buying another Android device for their next smartphone
- 17% say they plan to buy an iPhone
- 34% say they’re undecided

Survey from Apple users:

-  77% say they plan to buy an iPhone for their next smartphone
- 5% planning to switch to Android device
- 18% still undecided

Survey from BlackBerry users:

- 2% of BlackBerry users said they were planning to purchase another BlackBerry smartphone

In addition, 7% only interested in the much rumoured Facebook Phone. However, due to the popularity of Kindle, 51% interested in purchasing Amazon's smartphone. So what is your next choice of smartphone?

Amazon Held Press Conference Event On September 6th, New Kindle Coming Soon

Next-Gen Kindle Fire Tablet Arrives At FCC, Comes With 4:3 Ratio Display
