Few weeks ago, LG Nexus 4 experienced in droptest that showed us how easy the glass back cover broke once it dropped on the cement floor.
Folk at Droid Life surprisingly found out his LG Nexus 4 glass back cover broke without doing anything on it. It is said that LG Nexus 4 unable to handle the sudden change in the temperature.
After he using the LG Nexus 4 on a long time, the device getting hotter (it is normal for quad-core smartphone). Soon he found out that it was the time for the device to rest to prevent any overheat. The LG Nexus 4 was placed on the table for a while. Perhaps due to the sudden changed of temperature, the back glass was cracked and you can see at the image above.
The same goes to the LG Optimus G that made from glass as well. The LG Nexus 4 was built based on the LG Optimus G. So you can see how similar both devices in this issue. REMINDER: The back glass made from the ultra tough Corning Gorilla Glass. But.... this happens.
This incident showed the vulnerable of LG Nexus 4 back cover that made from glass. For the owners of LG Optimus G and LG Nexus 4, you really need to take extra care.
